De Anna Bijns Prijs is een literaire onderscheiding voor Nederlandstalige literatuur van vrouwen. De Anna Bijns Stichting is in 1985 opgericht en kent tweejaarlijks de prijs van € 10.000 toe. Bij de prijs hoort ook de Anna Bijns sculptuur, ontworpen door Maja van Hall.

Anna Bijns was Flemish feminist poet from Antwerp. She published three volumes of poetry (1528, 1548, 1567) that were full of satire and religious devotion. She spoke out against patriarchy and Lutherans.

Zuidnederlands dichteres (Antwerpen 1493-ald. 1575). Dichtte in de trant der rederijkers; kenspreuk: `Meer suers dan soets'. Van 1536 tot 1573 schoolmeesteres in `Het Roosterken'. Van haar bestaan drie bundels refreinen `int vroede', achtereenvolgens gedrukt in 1528 (het jaar daarop in het Latijn vertaald), 1548 en 1567 (met een merkwaardige inleiding van Henrick Pippinck).

Flemish poet of Antwerp. Her three volumes (1528, 1548, 1567) of lyric verse place her among the foremost Dutch poets of her age. She excelled in robust satires passionately inveighing against the social evils of the day and deploring the Reformation. Bijns’s religious poetry is sincere and moving.
