This genus is characterized by its small size, uniformly dark color, exceptionally long muzzle, small triangular nose leaf, small ears, and short tail. The rostrum
is much elongated but less than half the length of the skull. The long tongue is supplied with papillae at its tip, and the cheek teeth are narrow and elongate. There are
