Specimens of Musonycteris have been taken in nylon mist nets set across a small irrigation ditch in a banana grove in arid thorn forest. An extensive tropical deciduous forest was only a short distance from the thorn forest. The banana trees in the grove were blooming when the first three specimens were collected in 1958; presumably these bats were feeding on the flowers. [ eng ] |
