- English
URL: http://www.press.jhu.edu/books/walker/chiroptera/chiroptera.phyllostomidae.eroph
This genus and Phyllonycteris externally resemble the bats related to Glossophaga in that the skull is long and narrow and the tongue is long, protrusible,
and armed with bristlelike papillae. In Erophylla the nose leaf is notched or forked at the tip, the ears are separate and about as high as they are broad, the tail
projects beyond the narrow interfemoral membrane, and a short but distinct calcar is present. [ eng ] |
