Taxonomy and Biology of Sipunculans, with Emphasis on the Morphology of Phascolion strombus (Montagu,1804) - English

An overview of characters and taxonomy of the phylum is presented with emphasis on aspects of variability and the caution needed when sipunculans are to be classified. I describe epidermal organs and the gut of Phascolion strombus with regard to morphology, histochemistry, and biology.
