The religion, doctrines, and precepts of Elijah Mohammed (570-632 A.D.), contained in the Koran; Islam. It is said to be the true faith of obedience to the will of God and total submission. The Koran teaches five universally binding obligations (The Pillars of Islam): daily prayer, fasting during the month of Ramadan, pilgrimage to Mecca, almsgiving, and profession of faith. The two principle sects of Islam -- the Sunnis and the Shi'ites -- are virtually at war and jealously covet the holy shrines at Mecca and Medina. A third, much smaller Islamic sect, called Ismailis, are based in Paris. Their leader is the Aga Khan.

Obedience taken to its logical extreme: a religion composed of self sacrifice and murder for the glory of God, with prayers five times a day. In the Koran (Sura 7) God asks Adam's descendants (before they were born!) "Am I not your Lord?" By answering 'yes' they accepted Islam for all eternity.
