This very interesting paper really increases the size of this Asian catfish family. The paper considers reviews all of the Amblyceps from the Mekong, Chao Phraya, Mae Khlong, Salween, and Irrawaddy basins of the Malay peninsula. A. caecutiens and A. murraystuarti are considered distinct from A. mangois. Also described are the following new species: A. foratum, A. mucronatum, A. platycephalus, A. serratum, and A. variegatum.
