- English
URL: http://www.arctic.uoguelph.ca/cpl/organisms/fish/marine/lumpfish/arc_sucker.htm
The Arctic lumpsucker has been found in Ulrisk Bay in northwest Greenland, and the Barents Sea, but probably
also enters Canadian Arctic waters. It is differentiated from other lumpsuckers by its pectoral fin, which is attached
below the gill opening, by its anterior body, which is compressed, and by its first, rectangular dorsal fin. There is no
row of postorbital tubercles present, nor are there any supplemental pores above the lateral line. [ eng ] |
