This is an arboreal family who have sticky pads at the tips of their digits to help them climb. The best time to catch them is after a rain when they come down to mate and lay eggs, usually at the nearest stream.

This family is composed of the Old World Tree frogs and can be found in India, Sri Lanka, China, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Japan, the East Indes, and Madagascar. One species can be found in Africa. This family also includes some of the genus Mantella even though they are closer in appearance to family Ranidae.

They occur in Asia and Africa. These mostly treefrog-like frogs usually possess enlarged toe pads, but the genus Aglyptodactylus is mostly terrestrial. They range in size from 15 to 120mm SVL, with most species larger than 40mm SVL.

Род Rhacophorus (семейство Веслоногие лягушки - Rhacophoridae) включает в себя 56 видов средних и крупных амфибий, широко распространенных в Юго-Восточной Азии как на материке, так и на прилегающих островах. Абсолютное большинство из них - ночные животные с тусклой серо-коричневой окраской, которую оживляют зеленые, черные и желтые пятна и полосы. В природе эти животные населяют средние ярусы леса, предпочитая кустарники и невысокие деревья, растущие по берегам водоемов.
