Onychodactylus japonicus

This species inhabits forests around cool streams, mainly more than 900m in elevation, in Hiroshima. They are only seen during April to June
involve breeding season. They occur under stones, barks and moist gravel. Various size of larvae were found easily under stones in the cool streams throughout the
year. It seems that movement ability of adults are high level. Because, adults were often seen in the very small streams that larvae do not live even down streams. [ eng ] |
