Coelacanths (Latimeria sp.) - English
URL: http://people.clemson.edu/~jwfoltz/WFB418/subjects/Cross/cross.htm

Crossopterygii - are the tassel-finned or fringe-finned fishes. This line of fish evolution has a very interesting story. They first appeared about 370 mybp (million years before present), reached their peak fossil diversity about 200 mybp and disappeared from the fossil record 70 mybp. In 1938 a strange looking fish was captured off southern Africa's east coast.

InterNevod: Латимеровые (Latimeriidae) - Russian
URL: http://www.internevod.com/rus/academy/bio/k_fish/latimeriidae.shtml

(Coelacanthiformes) - Russian
URL: http://www.internevod.com/rus/academy/bio/k_fish/coelacanthiformes.shtml
