Dette er en veldig annerledes anemonefisk. De er helt svarte, med 3 hvite prikker. En på hver side av kroppen og en midt i panna. Eldre fisk vil ofte miste prikken i panna. De er aggressive som få, og angriper det meste. Blir ofte ikke regnet som anemonefisk, men det er vel mest på grunn av utseendet.

Dascyllus aruanus and Dascyllus reticulatus are two species of damselfish that live together in small branching coral heads on the Great Barrier Reef. As you can see in the pictures below, both species have very similar markings, and indeed, are hard to tell apart with our eyes.
