Периодическая система членистых
- Russian
URL: http://www.mtu-net.ru/periodic-sys/
Книга содержит подробное и последовательное описание построения периодической системы членистых - Articulata (Annelides + Arthropoda). В основе работы лежит сравнительный морфофункциональный анализ пищедобывательных аппаратов ракообразных и трилобитообразных. [ rus ] |

Project ALAS
- English
URL: http://viceroy.eeb.uconn.edu/ALAS/ALAS.html
The diversity of organisms such as mammals, birds, and trees is fairly well known, and their distributions and population sizes shape our
conservation efforts, but diversity of these large organisms is dwarfed by the arthropods. Arthropods are a sophisticated and powerful
conservation tool because of their high diversity, fine-grained response to the environment, and short-term response to environmental change. [ eng ] |

Collection of Arthropods - University of Georgia Museum of Natural History
- English
URL: http://entomology.ent.uga.edu/collection/
Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River with 58,910 square miles spanning five major physiographic provinces (Appalachian Plateau, Ridge and Valley, Blue Ridge,
Piedmont and Coastal Plain) and two climatological zones (subtropical and temperate). These large-scale biological and physical patterns support a tremendous amount of arthropod
diversity. By encompassing the southern limit of two provinces (Blue Ridge and Piedmont), the Georgian arthropod fauna has significance for biogeographical studies of North America. [ eng ] |

Introduction to the Cheliceramorpha
- English
URL: http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/arthropoda/chelicerata/cheliceramorpha.html
The Cheliceramorpha includes spiders and scorpions, mites and ticks, horseshoe crabs, daddy-longlegs, and extinct "sea-scorpions", to name a few. It is the second most prominent
order of terrestrial arthropods, after the uniramians. Most of its marine representatives are extinct, but were prominent in the Paleozoic and included some fearsome predators.

Introduction to the Uniramia
- English
URL: http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/arthropoda/uniramia/uniramia.html
The largest major group of arthropods is a clade that includes insects, millipedes, centipedes, and their relatives. This group, the Uniramia, was formerly defined to include the
Onychophora, which are now considered a separate clade. It is restricted here to include only "true" arthropods with exoskeletons and jointed appendages. [ eng ] |

The Bug Closet

"The Bug Closet" is the 7 by 16 foot home of a new and rapidly growing collection of Arthropods. Currently there are about 53,500 pinned, labeled, and generically identified specimens
in a total of 200+ Cornell drawers, 12,000 in Schmitt boxes and some 45,000 specimens soon to be added to the collection. There are also 2,500 four-dram vials of specimens in
alcohol and many bulk samples in half pint jars of alcohol. These specimens are being collected by sweeping and beating, as well as trapping with malaise, pit fall, flight intercept, and UV
light traps. [ eng ] |
