One of the most common Amazon Cichlids. Requires a peaceful tank with plenty of vegetation for concealment. Sensitive to water conditions. Neons are their staple diet.

Bör vara ganska högt. Inredningen ska till stor del bestå av storbladiga växter som honan kan lägga sina ägg på. Flytväxter kan vara bra att ha för att skydda ynglen som gärna söker sig til just flytväxter.
