Saimiri: Squirrel Monkeys

These monkeys are found in primary and secondary forests and in cultivated areas, usually along streams. They are diurnal and arboreal but occasionally descend to the ground. Thorington (1968) reported that a wild group was most active from early morning to midmorning and from midafternoon to late afternoon, resting for one or two hours at midday. [ eng ] |
