Phloeomys: Slender-tailed Cloud Rats - English

Slender-tailed cloud rats live in forested areas from sea level to high mountains. Information compiled by Schauenberg (1978) suggests that they may shelter in either burrows or hollow tree trunks. They apparently are mainly arboreal and nocturnal. Their movements seem relatively sluggish. The natural diet is not known, but captives have taken a wide variety of vegetable matter.
