P.A. de Génestet
Petrus Augustus de Gйnestet werd op 21 november 1829 te Amsterdam geboren en werd na de dood van zijn ouders door zijn oom opgevoed. Hij studeerde theologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam en werd in 1852 dominee in Delft. In hetzelfde jaar trouwde hij met Henriette Bienfait. Ze kregen samen twee kinderen. In 1859 stierven zijn vrouw en een kind, beiden aan tbc gestorven en moest hij wegens zijn zwakke gezondheid ontslag nemen als predikant; reeds twee jaar later bracht dezelfde ziekte hem in het graf.
