Sightings of this dolphin have been made from the breaker zone to 45 nautical miles offshore, and in water depths up to 180 m, but the species is most abundant in the inshore region in depths of less than 100 m. Heaviside's dolphins have been found across a wide range of surface temperatures, but most sightings have been in water from 9 to 15 degrees Celsius. [eng] |
