The Gilaki of Iran
The Gilaki of Iran have a population of 2.5+ million. This accounts for approximately 5.5% of Iran's total population and makes them the fourth largest ethnolinguistic people in Iran. They call their language Gilaki (a.k.a. Gelaki or Gilani). A dialect of Gilaki called Gelashi is spoken in the more remote mountain areas. [eng]
