Francisco Giner de los Ríos (1839-1915) es considerado por muchos autores como el educador por excelencia de la España contemporánea. Intelectual y pedagogo, Giner fue uno de los pocos pensadores que intervinieron muy directamente en la historia del último tercio del siglo pasado, introduciendo un fermento activo en el desarrollo de las convicciones de la sociedad española.
