Chaerephon: Lesser Mastiff Bats
Chaerephon was regarded as a full genus by Freeman (1981), Honacki, Kinman, and Koeppl (1982), Koopman (1984b), and Richards (in Strahan 1983) but only as a subgenus of Tadarida by Corbet and Hill (1986), Legendre (1984), and Meester et al. (1986). The species C. bivittata, C. ansorgei, and C. bemmelini sometimes are placed in Tadarida, but Freeman (1981) assigned them to Chaerephon [eng] |
