Eumops: Mastiff Bats, or Bonneted Bats
These bats usually roost in crevices in rocks, tunnels, trees, and buildings. Like most molossid bats, Eumops often shelters under the corrugated iron roofing
of human-made structures. The roosts, at least in the larger species, are usually six meters or more above the ground. Because of their size and long narrow wings,
these bats require considerable space to launch themselves into flight. [eng]
