Asellia: Trident Leaf-nosed Bats
Hundreds of Asellia were found roosting in an underground tunnel in Oman. In the evening, these bats flew from the tunnel in groups of about 20, flying swiftly and close to the ground to nearby palm groves to feed. In another area trident leaf-nosed bats have been observed flying within a few meters of the ground across almost a mile of barren desert to a feeding area. [eng] |
