Paracoelops
This medium-sized bat is characterized by large ears, a nose leaf, and the absence of a tail. The ears are separate and rounded at the top. The nose leaf is horseshoe-shaped and surmounted by a rounded leaf with radial striations. The tail membrane, 30 mm long, is not indented by attachment to the end of the tail and is supported by the long heel bones, the calcanea. [eng] |
