    Humanist International
Humanists are all those who struggle against violence and discrimination, and who propose greater freedom of choice for the human being. Humanists reject the formal political democracy that prevails in the world today, which is manipulated by money and which deprives people of real freedom of choice. Humanists promote human beings and their fundamental needs as the central value and concern in society with no other values or priorities imposed above them. This principle has enormous consequences, particularly at a time and in a system where money is the central value and everything else is subject to its ‘tyranny’. We have adopted, as one of our founding documents, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations, which despite requiring a more profound definition of human beings and their rights, is nevertheless an extremely relevant document. Women's Organization for National Prohibition Reform
In 1929 W.O.N.P.R. was founded to rescue America's families and communities from the ravages of ten years of alcohol prohibition. In 2004, after 30 years of a failed "War on Drugs", the tragic consequences of prohibition are back - gang warfare, arbitrary and racially biased enforcement, corruption and broken homes. The Women's Organization for National Prohibition Reform has been resurrected to return dignity to school children, responsibility to families and credibility to law enforcement. [eng]
    Journey for Justice
Incarceration rates of the last twenty years have made the United States the world's leading jailer, with Russia in 2nd place. The U.S. imprisons its citizens at rates three to ten times higher than other democratic societies. Punitive drug laws enacted in the 1980s, and to the present, have resulted in 25% of all prisoners in the United States serving time for a drug law violation. In the federal system, these people make up about 55% of the prison population. [eng]
