This web site is a collection of nostalgia and regionalisms from the Anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania. The region is made up of Schuylkill, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northumberland, and Columbia counties, and also the northernmost reaches of Dauphin county. The Coal Region owes its heritage to the varied cultures of the people who settled there, as well as to the bygone days of coal mining. [eng]

Ingwe Coal Corporation was formed in 1994 through the merger of two of South Africa’s largest coal enterprises, Trans Natal Coal Corporation and Rand Coal. The result
was a coal mining giant with a market capitalisation today of around R6, 8 billion. Ingwe Coal exports coal to Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, South America, India and Africa.Ingwe’s South African inland markets are Eskom (our largest customer), sugar and paper mills, and other clients such as cement manufacturers and those who use coal in
