TENTACULATA
In some animal classification systems, a grouping of three marine phyla, on the basis of their somewhat similar physical structure (see ANIMAL). The
members of these phyla have a short body with a true coelom, or body cavity, and bear a crown of tentacles called a lophophore. The phyla are Phoronida (see TUBE
WORM), which has 18 species; Ectoprocta, or Bryozoa (see MOSS ANIMALS), with 3500 species; and Brachiopoda (see LAMPSHELL), which has 230 species. [eng]
