    Wetland Biogeochemistry Institute
The WBI was established to conduct investigations of wetland soils and sediment in fresh, brackish, and salt marsh environments. Soil-plant relations, their responses to stresses, and the production of greenhouse gases from natural and agricultural wetlands are major research areas. The name of the institute was changed from Laboratory for Wetland Soils and Sediments in 1991. [eng]
    Everglades Ecosystem
The Everglades is known as The River of Grass, a broad sheet of slowly moving water, 50 miles wide and six inches deep, that flows from its headwaters in central Florida to the Florida Keys and the Gulf of Mexico through the largest concentration of sawgrass in the world. But the Everglades is more than just a vast expanse of water and grass. It is a complex and diverse collection of distinct habitats that each support their own communities of wildlife. [eng]
Center for Wetlands at the University of Florida
The Center for Wetlands, the first of its kind in the world, was founded in 1973 by H.T. Odum. His goal was to use the Center as a focal point for both basic ecological research on wetlands as well as their sustainable use in meeting environmental management needs of the society. The Center quickly became the forum for interfacing traditional engineers with ecologists especially regarding the use of natural and constructed wetlands for waste water treatment. [eng]
    WetForm - Delineation Dataform Software
WetForm automates the process of converting muddy field notes to completed, typed wetland delineation dataforms, reducing the time to less than 15 minutes. The WetForm database includes the 1988 USFWS National Plant List with Latin and common plant names, USFWS indicators and synonymy for all regions, and the ability to create a customized soils database for your practice area. This software references each entry so nothing is missed or mistakenly marked. [eng]
    Wetland Management, Restoration & Ecology
As part of the outreach mission of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, the Cook College Office of Continuing Professional Education provides environmental professionals with quality instruction in wetland identification, delineation, construction, and regulation. Taught by outstanding instructors, these courses provide a high quality educational experience both in the classroom and in the field [eng]
    WetNet
The goal of the Texas Wetland Information Network (WetNet) project is to allow easier access to online wetland-related information. Funded by a grant from the Wetland Office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, WetNet will enhance the wetland protection capabilities of state and federal regulatory agencies operating in Texas, and will provide accurate and up-to-date information to local governments, universities, and the general public.
