The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition
The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition was founded by Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche in the early 1970s. The organization, which consists of over 120 Centers and activities around the world, serves to bring the Teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni as practiced in the Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism to the rest of the world.
