Аристофан начал писать еще очень молодым и первые произведения (427-425 гг.) - "Пирующие", "Вавилоняне" (426) и "Ахарняне" (425), из которых сохранилось только последнее, - ставил под именем Каллистрата, так как был неизвестен и не имел возможности оплачивать хор.
