Josй Craveirinha
Without doubt one of the most important poets writing in Portuguese today, José Craveirinha has given the Portuguese tradition(s) a poetic corpus born out of the African experience. His is a lyricism where the social is carefully interconnected with the private, a poetic diction that as much as it uses the full range or inherited rhetorical devices is often devoid of any ornamentation.
