Mbundu The heart language of the North Mbundu is a Bantu language called Kimbundu (from which the more common name of the people has its roots). The standard form of the language name is Mbundu. It is also sometimes called Loanda, from which the city of Luanda is named. It has several mutually-intelligible dialects and is spoken by almost everyone in the rural areas and mainly by older adults in urban centers. [eng]
