Беллинсгаузен Фаддей Фаддеевич
По возвращении из плавания, Беллинсгаузен, уже контр-адмиралом, участвовал в Турецкой кампании 1828 - 29 г. Затем командовал дивизией Балтийского флота, в 1839 г. сделан военным губернатором Кронштадта и на этом посту получил чин адмирала и орден Владимира I ст. В 1870 г. ему воздвигли памятник в Кронштадте. [rus] |

Российский мореплаватель, адмирал (1843). Участник 1-го российского кругосветного плавания 1803-06. В 1819-21 руководитель 1-й российской антарктической (кругосветной) экспедицией на шлюпах "Восток" и "Мирный", открывшей в январе 1820 Антарктиду и несколько островов в Атлантическом и Тихом океанах.
