Fossorial - found in loose soil, under logs and in leaf litter. Distinctive recurved teeth, similar to those of monitors (Varanus spp.) that may function as an adaptation to feeding on
slippery prey such as millipedes. Juveniles are distinctly patterned but this fades with age. [eng]
