Sumireyakko venustus, Venustus, Purple-Mask or Blue-Backed Angelfish. Formerly of the genus Centropyge, now placed in the genus Sumireyakko, and mis-placed by some authors in the genus Paracentropyge. Western Pacific rim. To five inches in length.

These are the most attractive of all fish. They are true coral pool and reef inhabitants and, in movement, form, and habit are the essences of tropical reef fish. Four genera are likely to be encountered along the East African reef and in rocky coral pools off the shore: Centropyge, Pornacanthodes, Pomacanthnops and Pygoplites. [eng]
