Natural History LabOutline
The bulk of your laboratory time will be spent learning to recognize the common orders and families of hexapods. By the end of this course you should be able to recognize all hexapods to the order level, and
should recognize about 90% of commonly encountered hexapods to the family level. Recognition of hexapods to the family level will allow the application of generalities about biology and importance, as taught
in the lecture part of this course, and will also allow access to the literature on each insect family. [eng]
