Pseudotropheus daktari - The Doctor's Cichlid
Pseudotropheus daktari is colorful mouthbrooder native to Lake Malawi in Africa. It was reportedly collected near the southern end of the lake about ten to fifteen years ago. There is an article in the Cichlid Yearbook Volume 3 which contains a few details of the fish and where it was collected. Apparently "daktari" is the Swahili word for doctor, hence the name. [eng] |

Pseudotropheus saulosi
Depuis quelques années une espčce trčs colorée de m'buna est arrivée sur le marché en provenance du lac Malawi : P. saulosi. Le nom d'espčce est dédié au chef pécheur de Stuart Grant. Ce petit cichlidé (L.T. 9cm.) est originaire de Taiwan Reef un récif rocheux au nord de Chizumulu. Malawijský druh Pseudotropheus sp. acei patří mezi tlamovce chované v našich nádržích už delší čas, ale vzhledem k jeho malému rozšíření u nás je může leckdo považovat za novinku. První jedince tohoto druhu jsem získal už na podzim 1984, čas od času byli vidět v prodeji na burzách nebo v akvaristických prodenách. Většina chovatelů, kteří tento druh stabilně množili, orientovala jeho prodej především do zahraničí. [pol] |
