Wetlands - National Wildlife Federation
Wetlands are areas that are often inundated by water. The plants in a wetland are specially adapted to survive the changes in moisture. Wetlands come in all shapes and sizes. They occur in every state, from the coastal marshes of Alaska to the mangrove forests of Florida. Some are dry on the surface most of the year and others remain saturated. [eng]

National Wetlands Coalition
The NWC was founded for the sole purpose of infusing common-sense into the nation’s wetlands regulatory program. Over sixty groups and organizations as diverse as county and parish governments, municipalities, ports, Native American groups, engineering and environmental consulting firms, banks, the development community, the gas pipeline industry, oil and gas producers, the mining industry, the construction industry, and electric utilities comprise the Coalition’s membership. In short, members of the Coalition are those that either own or want to use land that the federal government has categorized as jurisdictional wetlands. [eng]
