    Spiritualism
    1. In philosophy, a term embracing systems that are not materialistic -- i.e., which ohld that mind is not a function of, but something distinct from, matter. 2. A system of professed communication with spirits or the supernatural world, chiefly through people with special susceptibility (mediums). [eng]
    Transubstantiationism
The belief in the Christian doctrine that, upon consecration by a priest, the items of the Eucharist (bread and wine) change entirely into the body and blood of Jesus Christ, and only their external forms remain the same. [eng]
    Terminism
    1. In theology, the doctrine of the Terminists, who held that God has fixed a certain term for one's probation, during which you may accept grace in the time allotted. 2. In philosophy, extreme nominalism in which universals have no existence whatever. 3. In modern America, the fear that killer robots from the future are going to wreak havoc and speak English with an unintelligible Austrian accent. [eng]
    Vaishnavism
The worship of the Hindu god Vishnu, who forms part of the Trimurti (trinity) with the other two great gods, Brahma and Shiva. Vishnu is the Preserver, considered by his worshippers the supreme god of the Hindu pantheon. [eng]
    Theism
Belief in the existence of God, especially as the creator of the world and supreme judge of humanity; belief in a living relationship between God and man (as opposed to Deism which denies revealed religion and sees God as separate and inaccessible to our rituals). [eng]

    Stercoranism
The beliefs of the Stercoranists, ecclesiastics in the 5th and 6th centuries who said that since the sacraments in the Eucharist undergo digestion, God, if truly present, becomes feces. It was a statement of their contempt of Transubstantiationism to forward this opinion. [eng]
    Valentinianism
The beliefs of a sect of heretics in the 2nd century, named for Valentinius, their founder. A branch of the Gnostics they regarded Christ as a kind of phantom. [eng]
    Universalism
The doctrine of one who believes all people will be saved, in opposition to the concept of eternal punishment; specifically a sect founded about 1750 which believes in the ultimate salvation of all and which directs its criticism against an eternal hell -- and in some cases against all suffering after death. [eng]
    Wycliffism
Beliefs of the followers of John Wycliffe (1320-1384), English theologian and reformer considered extremely dangerous by the Catholic Church because he translated the Bible into the vernacular, which made the Bible understandable to people like you and me. The movement was brutally and repeatedly put down, although Wycliffe's Bible had many secret admirers among the nobility. [eng]
    Unificationism
Pertaining to the Unification Church, headed by Korean evangelist Rev. Sun Myung Moon, self-described Messiah and head of the "Moonies" cult, often accused of abducting and brainwashing children. Rev. Moon claims to be "the Lord of the Second Coming" and a variety of other profundities. [eng]
    Tetratheism

    Sutteeism
The practice of self-immolation among Hindu widows on the funeral pyre of their husbands. One of the reasons it was encouraged was that when a widow committed suttee, all of her inheritance went to the priesthood. Wealthy Christian widows were required to do something similar in the Middle Ages, and, arguably, the practice persists today with wealthy women "donating" to various Christian organizations. [eng]
    Supralapsarianism
The doctrine of the Supralapsarians, a class of Calvinists who held that God decreed the Fall of Man and the consequent introduction of sin into the world, and that the "election" of some to everlasting life, with the rejection of others, was formed beyond or before these decrees and was in no way consequent or dependent upon man's Fall in the Garden of Eden. [eng]

Экуменизм (христианство -- ислам -- буддизм -- иудаизм) вкупе с рассуждениями о спасительной миссии Иуды Искариота. [rus]
